This is a good DVD while to works but as you can see from other reviews and if you do any research (just google "coby wrong disc." After about 6 months of use itt just stopped working and is not fixable. STAY AWAY. I would go with a better brand and even pay more for the quality assurance. COBY IS JUNK. Also COBY customer service simply told me I was SOL. What a help they were.Find another brand.
This is a great little protable DVD player for the camper. We don't always take our laptop with us everywhere. so this DVD player fits the bill. Of course like any other electronic device that has to run on a battery, it doesn't have as long of a charge as I would like.
This DVD player worked great with light use for a little while. Then it said "No DVD" for certain DVDs. Soon it said "No DVD" for all DVDs. It is now a good looking but worthless piece of electronics that I hope can be recycled.
Well, I think my title says it all. When it was working it seemed like a good little dvd player. The first time I used it during a lay-over the battery died before the end of my 2 hour movie. It then broke for no apparent reason after only two more uses.
If the power button is on, the dvd is in the player, and you get a blank screen I'd suggest playing with the AV switch on the side of the DVD player. Past reviews which mention the player only working a couple of times and not working again may be cause by a little switch that sometimes is tampered with by children.
I was hesitant at the time because of mixed reviews. I bought this player over two years ago for my son for Christmas.
It has traveled with us on various trips and is used at home by family members. At the time I purchased it on sale through amazon for about 100.00.
The player still works I'm very please with it. The switch is an AV in and out switch.
Now there are plenty of portable players to choose from that are new and affordable- this review is just to inform others that after two years ours still works and we are pleased with it.
